S (Sources)
Sources used by Newsmax include the following:
NBC News—fairly reliable, left-biased
Fox News—mixed reliability, right-biased
Politico—reliable, minor left-bias
Associated Press—reliable, least-biased
Newsmax is given a 7/10 in sources, as they do not hesitate to use sources that disagree with their own political stance (see below).
B (Bias)
First I checked Newsmax's home page for bias. They run right-leaning and sometimes slightly emotionally loaded headlines such as:
"Giuliani: 'Massive Fraud' Used to Steal Election From Trump"
“FEMA’s Long: No Time For San Juan Mayor’s ‘Political Noise'"
Newsmax publishes opinion articles that favor the right:
"The Magnificent American Experiment Is at Risk"
"Suspicious Presidential Tallies in Nevada"
"Constitution Has No Pandemic Exception"
However, they do not seem afraid to publish news that might damage President Trump. I give Newmax a 6/10 in bias.
A (Acclaimed)
Sources that have endorsed Newsmax:
Reclaimthenet.org (has apparent right-bias) seems to like it.
Ad Fontes Media (quite reliable and unbiased according to MBFC)
Sources that consider Newsmax unreliable:
Media Bias/Fact Check (review pending, but seems only slightly left-biased) says it's reliability is "mixed" and that it has a very strong right-bias.
Wikipedia (arguably left-biased, but managed by reliable people) no longer considers Newsmax a reliable source.
We give Newsmax 7/10 in acclamation.
H (History)
Here are the fact-checks Newsmax has failed:
Does President Barack Obama support taxing motorists based on the number of miles they drive? – False
Government Fast-Tracked $29 Million to Charleston – Misleading
The Obama administration provided a $3.7 million grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. – Mixture
“He basically controls global health policy. What’s the plan? Using vaccines to track people.” – False
As an example of voter fraud, “we have literally 9,000 people who voted in this election (in Nevada) who don’t live in Nevada.” – Pants on Fire

We give them a 5/10 in history.
