Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.
Roughly 2025 years ago, likely in this half of the year, a little baby was born in a stable (or perhaps the animal pen in the center room of a house) to a pair of scared young people.
That baby would go on to heal hundreds of people, tell the religious leaders how dishonest we all are, gather a large following, and then die on a Roman cross. And then rise from the dead after (in Jewish counting) three days. Then rise into the sky.
So, yeah, kinda a big deal. (For those unconvinced that Jesus was who he said he was or if he ever existed, check out The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel.)
And that event, the most important birth in history, is what we celebrated yesterday (I was too busy to write a post about it, lol). So be sure to show God's love to others yesterday. And today. And, you know what, how about all the time? Let's attempt to put aside our self-righteousness and stupidity (I'm talking to myself, too) and be logical and loving all year round.
