5: Miraz (Prince Caspian)
Miraz is truly a memorable bad guy. He's relentless, calculating, and ruthless. His dialogues with Caspian are rich and full of character, making him feel like a man, and not a monster.
4: Quintus (The Chosen)
Quintus is the main villain of the amazing show The Chosen. The Roman is played by Brandon Potter. His voice and acting and voice acting are amazing. He is a very human, yet dangerous, villain.
3: Grievous (Star Wars)
Grievous was originally fully biological, but he was grievously wounded (pun intended) in battle, and so was made into a cyborg: part man, part robot. You can read his sad story here. His voice is awesome, and he's not at all shallow.
2: Saruman (The Lord of the Rings)
Saruman was the first of the Istari, the Wizards of old. In the films, he is played by legendary actor Christopher Lee, whose acting alone make this guy great. Add to that a deep character and you've got a great villain!
1: Smaug (The Hobbit)
Smaug is the main antagonist of the Hobbit movies. Whatever one may think about the films, one has to admit that Benedict Cumberbatch's performance was incredible. Not just voicing the dragon but also motion-capturing him, Cumberbatch brought the great wyrm to life. Though I wish they had stuck to the book and given him four legs, he's still my favorite movie villain of all time.
