(No spoilers.)
I saw Barbie on a five-hour flight to Maui last week.
It was amazing. Funny, insightful, and poignant, smacking of Greta Gerwig's warm, inviting directing style. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling turned in fantastic performances, and the set design/VFX gives the movie a really nice polish. There's also a very good male role model in the movie (hint: it's not Ken). Honest, authentic, and nuanced are words that come to mind.
It's not a movie about dolls.
It's not a movie about the ideal society.
It's not a movie about how men suck.
It's a movie about humanity.
