Spoilers for Dune (2021), LOTR, The Bourne Identity.
5: Bourne vs Treadstone Assassin (The Bourne Identity)
Bourne is attacked by an assassin. The fight that follows is a great example of how intense music, good choreography, and visceral, brutal attacks can make such a memorable fight.
4: Aragorn vs Lurtz (LOTR)
Brutal realism, fast-paced and intense choreography, and the fact that the bad guy actually puts up a fight make this an incredible scene.
3: Paul vs Gurney (Dune)
This training fight excellently showcases the technology of the Holtzman shields and Paul and Gurney's friendship. It also has what I think is likely the best fight choreography ever.
2: Boromir vs Uruk-Hai (LOTR)
Boromir's last fight is fast-paced and intense, with a good does of emotion, and the music is arguably the best part of it. Toward the end the choreography starts to break down, but it's still really well done on the whole.
1: Duncan vs Sardaukar (Dune)
The music stops as a force of Sardaukar drop down into the ecological testing station, communicating in their guttural, brutal language. Then suddenly a force of Fremen natives spring out of the sand and kill several of the Imperial troops before being overwhelmed. The Imperials fight their way to the room where Duncan is. He gives one last salute to his Duke before locking the door between them as the music builds. Then he charges and attacks. The choreography is amazing, the music is incredible, and Duncan is shown to be just about the ultimate warrior.
