I had help.
So I and a couple of friends have been working since August on a roughly 5-minute Nerf short film/action scene. And today that releases. Check it out:
This little vid was one of the more ambitious undertakings of my life, and it required months of shooting, weeks of editing, and a lot of reshoots. I learned several judo throws—or rather, how to take several judo throws (I do a lot of falling in the movie)—and had to choreograph an intense sequence featuring guns, knives, and punches.
I also basically taught myself rudimentary sound design, and polished up my editing skills. We put a lot of thought into our camera work, too, and I'm very happy with the final product.
