Armor in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies"

Thorin

This one has its share of problems. Those elbows, though easy to move in, can catch an enemy sword in battle, which is not what you want. Also, gold plating is too soft and heavy to make good armor.

Balin

This one is based off Roman legionary armor, and is therefore pretty good. However, the gaps between the shoulder plates are too large. (This is especially visible in the finished suit.)

Dwalin

This one is okay except for the fact that it just looks too heavy.

Fili

I really can't find anything wrong with this one. It's a masterpiece, way cooler and better than most fantasy armor.

Kili

Just one thing: the shoulders have slightly restricted movement.

Bifur

Well... the torso is essentially a rigid tube, which limits mobility.
