Ok, Here's a For Real Dune: Part Two Review

I went into the theatre with expectations high as a Duke’s son in a spice field—and this film not only met but exceeded them.

I am generally not an emotive person. I cry during movies only out of incredible feelings of sadness or joy (or nostalgia, as with the first and third Cars films).

Dune: Part Two made me cry in five seconds.

I’m not exaggerating. Within seconds of the movie starting, I was a sobbing, trembling wreck, tears running down my cheeks. I went from laughing at whatever stupid Mad Max trailer to bawling my eyes out in the space of one minute.

This film… it’s something beyond words.

You want emotional weight? This movie has it.

You want depth and intrigue? This movie has it.

You want love for the source materiel? This movie has it.

You want incredible props, sets, cinematography, music, and sound design? This movie has it.

You want feminism? This movie has it.

You want slow moments of peace between lovers? This movie has them.

You want sick fight scenes? There’s like fifteen.

You want a story about a boy, trapped by destiny, forced in the duel with Jamis to embark on a journey leading through Hell and into Paradise?

This movie is it.
