My Favorite Movies List #3

Tom Cruise in "Top Gun: Maverick", which soared to #14 on my list of favorite films.

20: The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian—not so true to the book, but pretty epic, and has an incredible track.

19: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe—quite true to the book, and Liam Neeson rocked it.

18: Captain America: The First Avenger—great war movie, and Hugo Weaving was great.

17: The Nativity Story—best Christian movie I've ever seen.

16: The Bourne Legacy—while it doesn't feel like a Bourne film, it's not half bad as its own thing.

15: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug—worst Middle-Earth film, but Smaug was awesome.

14: Top Gun: Maverick—WHOA! So epic and fast, with real-feeling combat and deep characters.

13: The Bourne Supremacy—well-written and awesome, even if the shaky cam is a little sloppily used.

12: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey—it's almost like Tolkien.

11: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies—it's not Tolkien, but it's still awesome.

10: The Bourne Ultimatum—fast-paced, gritty, and well-written.

9: Gladiator—best historical fiction movie. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

8: Interstellar—amazing soundtrack and great story, even if it has a few plot holes.

7: The Martian—SCIENCE.

6: Jason Bourne—A fitting closing film for the saga.

5: The Bourne Identity—a secret agent film that's both awesome and intelligent.

4: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers—while they kind of changed the message, it's still LOTR.

3: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring—the most true to the book of the series.

2: Dune: Part One—quite true to the book, well-acted and scored, and awesome.

1: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King—I doubt anything will ever top this.

Stats:

15% of these movies have Oscar Isaac in them.

20% were scored by Hans Zimmer.

30% were scored by Howard Shore.

30% have Matt Damon in them.

35% have Hugo Weaving in them.

40% are fantasy.

85% are to some extent action films.

100% came out this century (though three of them just barely did, and #21 didn't)
