DutchWorld's Second Birthday!

Approximately. I don't quite know for sure.

Here's probably the first image I ever uploaded to this site, a photo from like eight or nine years ago. I've apparently never posted it before, for some reason. Not really sure what's going on, but it looks fun.

My friends (and enemies)*...

This has been two whole years of DutchWorld blog. I want to say:

  • Thanks so much for reading! I'm very glad that I can produce content and send it out so widely.

  • Thanks for putting up with me. I know it's hard sometimes.

  • Thank you, family, for, you know, raising me or supporting me or just hitting me in the face repeatedly. With a spoon or whatever. That's you, Ben.

  • Thank you, those of you I know in person, for, well, reading my blog despite knowing me in person. I mean, I should think that'd be pretty off-putting.

  • Thanks, Brant Hansen, for saying that I'm awesome. That means a lot. Check out his blog, y'all! (Brant may or may not be reading this, but he's awesome.)

  • Thanks, my friend Anthony, for telling me about Wix. It's great. (Anthony is unlikely to be reading this.)

  • Thanks, Randall Munroe, for inspiring me to be my nerdy self. And for making an awesome webcomic. (Randall's very unlikely to be reading this. But he's still awesome.)

  • Thanks, J.R.R. Tolkien, for writing the greatest work of fiction ever created, and C.S. Lewis, for writing some other great stuff about space and religion and demons. (If you're reading this, Tolkien and Lewis, WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?)

*If you consider yourself my enemy and are still reading this, thanks so much for persevering. I mean, I don't really know of any enemies of mine, so maybe you're a mad scientist in a secret lair somewhere trying to discover my mental weak points so you can brainwash me and use me to take over the world. To which I say: Don't waste your time. Brainwash someone useful.
